What is collected

Collister Computing keeps the name and email address a client provides. Client records also contain the business name, phone number, site facts, approved content, service requests, and messages needed to build or maintain the page.

If you contact Collister Computing before becoming a client, the message and the contact details you use are kept so Austin can reply and remember what was discussed.

The contact form on this site asks for your name, email address, town, how you heard about Collister Computing, and your message. It sends those fields through a form service (Cloudflare Workers and Resend) that delivers them as one email to austin@collistercomputing.com. The message is kept only as that email and is used only to reply. The form service stores no copy of your message; it keeps a count of submissions per internet address for ten minutes to block automated floods, and a hidden field catches bots.

The web host and email provider create ordinary technical records. These can include an IP address, browser information, page requests, message headers, and the time of a request. They are used to deliver the site and email.

Payments

Stripe processes subscription and invoice payments on its own hosted pages. Stripe receives your card and billing details. Collister Computing does not receive or store your full card number.

Collister Computing can see the billing records Stripe makes available to a merchant. Those records can include your name, email address, payment status, subscription dates, receipt details, and the last four digits of the payment method.

Stripe handles its records under Stripe's privacy policy.

How information is used

Client information is used to build the approved page and keep it current. It is also used to answer support messages, send billing notices, and carry out the Website Care Plan Agreement.

Collister Computing keeps business records needed for invoices, agreements, receipts, and service history. Austin may also keep a do-not-contact record when someone asks not to hear from him again.

Who receives information

Collister Computing does not sell personal or business information.

Information is shared only with service providers that are needed to run the business, such as Stripe for payments, the web host, the email provider, Cloudflare and Resend for the contact form, and a domain registrar when the client chooses domain help. Each provider receives the information needed for its part of the work.

Information may also be provided when required by law or a valid court order.

Access, correction, and deletion

You may ask what Collister Computing keeps about you or your business. You may also ask for a correction or deletion by emailing support@collistercomputing.com.

Records that must be kept for tax, billing, dispute, or legal reasons are not deleted until that need ends. If you ask not to be contacted, Collister Computing keeps the minimum contact detail needed to honor that request.

Your approved business content can be returned to you under the Terms of Service.
